BBC NEWS | UK | Magazine | Giving up my iPod for a Walkman

It took me three days to figure out that there was another side to the tape. That was not the only naive mistake that I made; I mistook the metal/normal switch on the Walkman for a genre-specific equaliser, but later I discovered that it was in fact used to switch between two different types of cassette.

It took young Scott Campbell days to realize that the tape could be played on two sides!
My oh my!

Reading the article made me think of my son. What will he be like with technology when he's 13?
He's 2.5 years old and can lock, unlock the iPhone, start an app (a specific one) close it.

The wonders of technology, they never stop.
